This is the Bud Rosewood version of the Bronte design shown. It is a luxury chess set that is both unusual and traditional. We can’t decide which we prefer – the bud rosewood or the ebony version. The Ebony is a slightly more expensive wood, but the Rosewood highlights the curves better with it’s golden color. It’s available in both woods. The ‘bust style’ of the back of the necks base is the design style which we believe to be quite outstanding and formed the basis of our commission. We think the set belongs in a museum. Every piece is beautiful, but the knight is particularly appealing – the complete luxury chess set takes nearly three weeks to manufacture. The set comes with two queens. The king is 4 inch in height. The set is triple weighted. We recommend a board with 2 inch squares.
