This chess set is the ebonized version of the X3001. The detail in the pieces is to a very high quality and there is abundant attention to detail by the craftsman. Ebonized wood is the slightly more sought after wood than plain boxwood or acacia. We think this set of chess pieces is especially good value among our inventory. The board should have 1.5 inch squares or greater.
