The mid-section of each of the chess pieces has significant detail. The traditional Staunton chess piece design has been given an exotic flavour that is brought together by the knight’s telling traditional features. One of the more ornate chess piece is the queen which has detailed work from the bottom up through to the top. The chess board for these chess pieces would be best suited by a rustic design with 1.5 inch or 1.75 inch individual squares.
