This Chess Baron Product:This beautiful chess set depicts the Battle of Quebec in 1759. On the French side the king is Marquise de Montcalm, the Queen is major General Chevalier de Levis [Note: City opposite Quebec is named after him ], bishops are represented by the officers, the knights are the Cavalry, rooks are cannons with flags and the pawns are the troops of the line.
For the English side the king is General James Wolfe, the queen is General Townesend (who took command after Wolfe's death), officers are the bishops, the knights are the Cavalry from Montreal, rooks are cannons and flags and the pawns are British Grenadiers. This set comes in the Rosewood-Ivory colour and was reproduced by a Canadian Artist and made in Quebec.
